CENV’s Nutrition Education program teaches basic nutrition concepts for health and fitness. Our program emphasizes current dietary recommendations for maximizing well-being and minimizing risk of chronic disease. We have a focus on the use of tables, food guides, and guidelines for making healthy food choices. Our nutrition classes include the unique nutrition needs for selected stages of the life-cycle, methods for evaluating credibility of nutrition claims, principles of vegetarian nutrition, basic elements of food safety, and diet for exercise and sports.
